Debating
Debating provides students with the opportunity to develop their public speaking skills.
Students will become familiar with successful public speaking, in order to confidently prepare and deliver a speech, debate or present. These skills will be utilised and refined as they become involved with organising, adjudicating and participating in a series of class debating competitions. Through debating, students will learn to develop and defend a strong argument, while working co-operatively and successfully in a team.
The Knox School competes and succeeds in many debating events. Inter-House and Inter-School debating begins in the Middle School with competitions running through to the Senior College.
