The Commerce Faculty is somewhat different to other faculties in that it is not driven by a particular learning discipline as is Mathematics, Science or English, but rather it is seen as a vocational discipline, each area of study designed to educate in some aspect of the world of Commerce.
At The Knox School there are five separate studies within the Commerce Faculty. They are:
- Year 10 Commerce
- VCE Accounting
- VCE Business Management
- VCE Economics
- VCE Legal Studies
In Year 10 Commence, students are provided with a simplified introduction to the four Commerce VCE studies, one study for each term. This approach has the advantage of assisting students to make informed choices when selecting VCE studies in the following year.
