Students at The Knox School participate in a wide range of activities in both Physical Education and Health classes. Both subjects are compulsory for Years 7 to 10 and students may elect to do either Physical Education or Health and Human Development as VCE subjects in Years 11 and 12.
The Physical Education program provides educational experiences in all areas of human movement, where students are encouraged in both team and individual pursuits. An emphasis is placed on sportsmanship, team tactics, skill and fitness. All students are encouraged to perform at their best and are guided by experienced and passionate staff members.
The sporting facilities used at The Knox School during Physical Education classes include a double indoor basketball stadium, a weight room, oval, hockey field and external basketball courts.
Health Education classes provide an opportunity for students to learn more about themselves and their own level of well being. Students are informed about health promotion strategies relating to a variety of issues. The main focus surrounds health and concerns experienced by children and adolescents. Students are provided with the skills required to make informed decisions regarding their health and wellbeing.
