At The Knox School, Humanities provides students with the opportunity
to acquire detailed knowledge of History as well as a broad overview
of historical processes and movements. Finding out about the past demands
a variety of invaluable skills which are learned along the way.
Humanities encompasses aspects of:
History: local, national and international
Geography
Civics and citizenship
Environmental awareness
Global understanding
Basic Economics
Political Science
Students will develop:
Intellectual skills of inquiry and critical thinking
Oral and written communication skills
Presentation skills, using our state-of-the-art Multimedia facilities;
Digital Technology skills, using word processing, graphic programs
and online resources.
Students will be challenged, intrigued and encouraged to be
active participants in the learning process – and have fun!
