The Sport curriculum at The Knox School encourages students to achieve personal and team goals, to foster the sporting spirit and to set higher challenges in a health conscious environment.
Students are offered the opportunity to experience a range of different sports that they may have encountered in Physical Education classes. Sports offered at The Knox School include softball, cricket, soccer, hockey, volleyball, tennis, basketball, football, netball, indoor soccer, lawn bowls, fitness and table tennis.
Sporting commitments include weekly matches and practice during the school day and participation with other independent co-educational Melbourne schools in the Eastern Independent Schools Sports Competition. Our students have successfully represented The Knox School in a many of Central Grand Finals and have competed at local, state and national levels.
The Knox School campus features quality on-site facilities including a state of the art indoor stadium with two courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton and netball; outdoor hard-courts, a brilliant synthetic surface hockey field, tennis courts, weights room, extensive playground and carefully maintained change facilities.
Students from years 3 and 4 participate in inter-school rally days and inter-school sport involves students from Year 5 to Year 12. All inter-school competition is conducted during the week and there is no Saturday sport.
