We currently have a vacancy for a Year 6 Teacher FTE 0.4

Fixed Term contract 7 Oct 2019 to 10 December 2020.

 

The Role

  • Delivery of appropriate curricula with inspiration and passion.
  • Use of a variety of assessment tasks for students to experience success and accurately gauge understanding.
  • Maintain records of student attendance.
  • Attend staff and other administrative meetings, perform yard duty and attend parent/teacher interviews as required.

  • Must be VIT qualified.
  • Have a proven track record of high performance teaching.
  • A genuine appreciation for their subject area.

We currently have a vacancy for Risk and Compliance Officer

Part Time 3 days 24 hours per week

Days Negotiable Tue-Fri

The Role

  • Reporting to the Director of Business Operations (DBO), the Risk and Compliance Officer will assist driving the Risk Control Framework and best practice programs to support a positive risk management and safety culture and to assist the DBO in ensuring the School’s regulatory, legal and operational obligations are met.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the Principal, DBO, Executive Team, Teaching and Administration staff on all matters affecting Safety and Risk Management.
  • Stay abreast of legal and regulatory changes that affect the School and ensure that policies and procedures are reviewed to ensure compliance.  This will require consultation with a range of external consultants such as Lawyers, Risk Consultants, Independent Schools Victoria etc
  • Facilitating the establishment and effective implementation of policies and procedures that are required to effectively manage risk within The Knox School.
  • Drive continuous improvement agenda by (but not limited to) developing and implementing control systems to manage risk and continuous assessment and reporting on the effectiveness of these controls initiated to manage risk.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or other related discipline.
  • High level communication skills written and verbal.
  • Practical knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation.
  • Good analytical, evaluation and decision making skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective workplace relationships.
  • Current ‘Employee’ Working with Children clearance.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Experience in an educational environment desirable.
  • IT Literate with intermediate skills in Excel and Word.
