Primary Music Teacher - Full Time
The Knox School is an independent, coeducational, P-12 School in Wantirna South.
Our Music Department is the vibrant heart of our School with all students from Prep to Year 7 receiving compulsory music lessons as part of their core curriculum.
The Knox School conducts a 5 period day over a 2 week cycle.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and energetic Music Teacher whose main responsibility is to teach through music in the Junior and Middle Schools (Prep to Year 7). The position is available from the start of Term One, 2010 and is permanent and ongoing. The successful applicant should hold current VIT registration.
The ideal applicant will be a highly experienced teacher with knowledge and experience of Orff and Kodaly methods, have a thorough understanding of and enthusiasm for innovative curriculum design and possess excellent Music Technology skills. Accompaniment skills are also desirable.
You will work closely with the Director of Music and the Heads of Junior School and Lower Middle School to ensure the curriculum is followed.
