Guardian/Caregiver

One of the conditions for obtaining a student visa is that parents make arrangements for a specific person to be responsible for the accommodation and welfare of the student until they reach 18 years of age.   

If students do not have a relative* living in Melbourne who can act in this capacity, then The Knox School will provide a list of qualified caregivers who, for a fee, will act in this capacity.  

*DIAC defines a ‘relative’ as a brother, sister, stepmother, stepfather, stepbrother, stepsister, grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece or nephew.
