Doing our bit for the environment

Two massive concrete watertanks, each capable of holding 21,000 litres, were recently buried alongside the Junior School Building.

The water collected in these tanks will be used back on our gardens and for the Junior School vegetable garden.

update: June 3 2009

Today we installed four concrete water tanks on the edge of the oval which will help keep our sporting fields green in the summer months. Total capacity is 90,000 litres.

update: July 20

A huge bank of solar panels have been installed atop the new Year 8/9 centre which will help power the building with all excess being fed back into the power grid.

Just part of our increasing need to help the environment. Watch for more news on how our students are helping our planet.
