It is a Department of Home Affairs (DHA) requirement that all students under 18 years of age live in supervised accommodation approved by their institution.
It is The Knox School’s policy that all international students (unless living with DHA approved adult relative) are required to live with a homestay family organised by the School and overseen by the Director of International Program, irrespective of age, for the duration of their enrolment at the school.
The Knox School has a well-established database of carefully selected families who have been hosting our students for many years. All our homestay families have undertaken Working with Children checks and are well informed of the Child Safety policies at The Knox School.
The current Homestay Information Handbook is available upon request.
