The secondary school years are a time of tremendous physical, social and emotional change.
Year 7 is a dynamic, inspiring and nurturing environment that holistically supports our students at this pivotal time in their lives.
We inspire learning by engaging, encouraging and celebrating your child’s individual achievements – providing a sense of safety, security and certainty amid rapid change.
Our teachers understand that the children in their care are at a unique time in their lives and collaborate with your child on a personalised learning approach.
This means just the right amount of choice, structure, opportunities and challenges for students to develop into confident young people who will thrive at life.
Transitioning to Year 7
We understand transitioning to Year 7 is a time when your child may need additional support.
We invite students and their families onto campus for orientation before Year 7 starts. This allows them to begin forming new friendships and eases any natural anxiety. Your child will embark on their new journey feeling confident, comfortable, connected and known.
The Year 7 Learning Centre is a dedicated space for the group to learn, connect and collaborate as they transition into the broader school community.
Learning – inside and outside the classroom
Our core subjects provide an exceptional academic foundation, complemented by flexible learning time, designed to challenge our students to learn in a way that is optimal for them.
Your child is encouraged to discover their strengths both inside and outside the classroom, while building confidence and resilience.
Your child will become an engaged and active learner, developing a deep intellectual understanding across core and elected subjects, and build on their own skills and attributes.
The importance of mentors
The School encourages our students to achieve their personal best, show respect for self and others, accept differences and develop honesty, integrity and thoughtfulness.
Collaborating with their peers, your child will embark on a journey of discovery by recognising the exciting opportunities available to them.
Our students work together towards a common goal to develop Respect, Resilience, Responsibility, Achievement, Care and Empathy.
