Careers Guidance
The purpose of the Careers Centre is to provide a service that empowers and informs each student so that they are able to make well informed subject choices in preparation for life beyond school.
The Careers Centre services include:
One-to-one Careers Counselling including counselling on subject choices for Year 9 to Year 12 students and VTAC (Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre) counselling for all Year 12 students
A well resourced Career Resource Centre including a reference library of careers information and handbooks from tertiary institutions in Victoria, interstate and overseas
An annual Careers Expo held at the school for all Year 9 to Year 12 students involving over 30 organisations including tertiary institutions and professional associations
Vocational assessment for all Year 9 and 10 students (Year 11 and 12 students if required) to assist with career planning
Interview skills training for students who may be seeking part-time work or who may be applying for a tertiary course with an interview component as part of their entry requirements
Work experience management and support for interested students in Years 10 to 12
