Why choose The Knox School?

You've come to the right place

Quite simply, we believe we are a terrific School.

The students who come here are not only lucky to enjoy our excellent facilities and outstanding teachers, but while they are here they will develop great self-esteem, confidence and resilience.

Our strong values underpin everything we do – Values of Achievement, Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Care and Empathy.

The students who graduate from us are remarkable young people who take these values into the world and make a difference. They may be doctors, lawyers and engineers but they could also be your local mechanic, plumber or teacher. Whatever path they choose, we know that, if they’re a Knox student, they will be the best they can possibly be and we, and you, will be immensely proud of them.

Sound Academic Results

Our VCE and NAPLAN results show that we are a small school that cares. We are the top performing school in the area (VCE 2016); our Year 3 and 5 NAPLAN results place us in the top 2% of the nation.

Our small classes enable our students to get the personal attention they deserve. Our teachers are always available for that extra help in any subject.

The after-school Academic Tutoring is just another way our staff go the extra mile to make sure their students are not left behind.

Limitless Opportunities

We don’t say “Opportunity Knox” lightly.

There are endless opportunities here for your child at any level; sport, music, performing arts, science, astronomy, robotics – the list goes on.

We are only limited by our imagination. If students suggest an activity or excursion, we will do our best to accommodate. Past suggestions have been trips to Cairns to view a solar eclipse; playing basketball in New Zealand; abseiling in the Grampians and much more. We don’t do the same things year in year out – we’re adaptable and the students love it.

Like Performing Arts?

If you like Music and Performing Arts, how does 20 ensembles sound?

We think it sounds great!

Show bands, choirs, guitar groups, rock bands – every taste is catered for. Our TKS Big Band is often heard playing in the community and you may have heard The Pengana Voices on the radio. Both have won medals in overseas competition.

Every year we stage either a musical production or a play in our 400 seat auditorium. There is also a Junior School production with a part for everyone.

Performing Arts is our forté (pardon the pun.)
