Curiosity, discovery and a love for learning begins in our Early Learning Centre, where children are encouraged to grow through play and friendships.

From the moment your children walk through our doors, they are an important part of The Knox School community, valued for their individual spirit and talents.

In partnership with you, our dedicated educators get to know your child and develop a personalised learning approach focused on their interests.

“Participation in diverse forms of play fosters a spirit of curiosity, experimentation and discovery, with children being supported to develop their thinking and understandings, fine and gross motor skills, language, personal and social awareness, emotional wellbeing and creativity.”

Our ELC runs kindergarten for children aged three to five.

A holistic experience

Our Early Learning Centre is purposefully-designed to create a stimulating and engaging environment, allowing children to learn through play – feeling safe and secure, balanced with the right amount of routine.

Each day is structured with a learning plan designed to progress little peoples’ literacy and numeracy while focusing on connection, creativity and collaboration.

Children have the opportunity to participate in small group or one on one learning sessions with educators to extend their learnings or get additional support, recognising that students learn and develop at different rates.

New interests to discover

No two days in the ELC are the same. Our early learners are engaged with specialist music, physical education, art, and library classes, encouraging them to try new things and discover new interests and talents.

Dedicated and experienced educators

Our Bachelor-qualified kindergarten teachers are passionate about early learning and celebrate each child’s unique spirit, forging strong bonds with each of them as individuals and to their families.

Connected community

When your child joins The Knox School Early Learning Centre, your family is welcomed and belongs to the school community.

Our single campus allows learners of all ages to connect, learn and grow together.

ELC students are engaged in the broader school community through our buddy program, assemblies and special events including assemblies, Easter Egg Hunts and Mother’s and Father’s Day celebrations.

Becoming school-ready

Through a curriculum designed to encourage problem solving and social skills, Early Learning students leave our warm and nurturing environment as confident learners, ready for Prep.
