Celebrating Father's Day in the Junior School

Last week, we welcomed fathers, father figures and special people into our ELC to Year 3 classrooms for our annual Father’s Day Morning, always a much-loved date in the School calendar.

This annual tradition gives students a joyful opportunity to celebrate their dads, father figures and special people, creating lasting memories together while showing how learning is enriched when families are actively involved. It reflects The Knox School’s values of Care, Empathy, Respect and Responsibility by celebrating the important role these special people play in their lives.

Students were so proud to invite their parents and guardians into their learning spaces and share fun activities together. In the ELC, singing and craft were highlights, with the handmade ties proving to be a favourite keepsake. Across different year levels, students and their special guests enjoyed playing board games, joining in card games, and working side by side on craft projects.

One of the most meaningful parts of the morning was creating personalised Father’s Day cards, giving students the chance to express their love and appreciation in their own words and designs.

The morning was filled with laughter, conversation and connection, reflecting the joy our students feel in having their dads, father figures and special people join them at School. It was a wonderful celebration of family and community, and a reminder of the strong partnerships that support each child’s journey at The Knox School.
