EISM Cross Country
On Wednesday 10 September, a determined and well-prepared team represented The Knox School at the Division 3 EISM Cross-Country event at Ruffey Park Lake. The challenging course brought out the very best in our students, who showed resilience, teamwork and pride in their efforts.
Since the start of Term 3, students had the option of attending cross-country training at Norton’s Park during Friday lunchtimes. The strong commitment shown by those who trained regularly was reflected in their performances on the day.
There were many outstanding individual results, including:
- Under 15 Girls – Methuki Don (2nd)
- Under 16 Girls – Stephanie Jarvis (1st), Mali Yeo (2nd), Amelia Carnell (3rd)
- Open Girls – Kayla Sautner (1st), Jacquie Ring (2nd), George Yeo (3rd)
- Under 14 Boys – Hirun Wijerathne (2nd)
- Open Boys – Max Worthy (3rd)
To see both the Under 16 Girls and the Open Girls achieve a clean sweep of the podium was an extraordinary accomplishment. Every competitor, whether finishing in the top three or not, displayed commitment, perseverance and School spirit, with several students just missing out on a medal.
These collective efforts saw TKS win both the Girls and Boys aggregate scores for Division 3 and ultimately claim the overall Division 3 Championship. This result means The Knox School will move into Division 2 in 2026, where we look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to make our community proud.
