Making Waves: TKS House Spirit Takes Centre Stage
House spirit was on full display on Wednesday 4 February 2026 as students from Years 7 to 12 gathered at Croydon Memorial Pool for the annual House Swimming Carnival. With perfect weather and a vibrant display of House colours, the day celebrated participation, pride and friendly competition.
Students enthusiastically took part in both swimming and novelty events, including Water Volleyball, the Continuous House Race and House Chants, creating an atmosphere of energy and inclusivity. Congratulations to Paterson House, who was crowned overall winner, and well done to Chisholm, who received the House Spirit Award.
Alex Wilson, Senior School House Coordinator, congratulated students on their efforts, highlighting that every race, cheer and act of support contributed to the success of the day. He also praised the unity and camaraderie shown, noting that the event truly reflected the heart of House spirit.
Paterson House Captains Aurelia Cabrera and Caio McDonald shared these heartfelt words of thanks and encouragement:
“We are beyond proud of Paterson’s participation in the pool! What a great way to kick off the school year, and we can’t wait to see this momentum grow louder. Go Paterson!”
Chisholm House Captains Natalie Dauncey and Ryan Yu, winners of the House Spirit Award shared:
“A huge congratulations to everyone in Chisholm for radiating our spirit throughout the whole day. It was an amazing start to the year so let’s make this win be the first of many. Go Chisholm!”
Several students were recognised as Age Group Champions on the day, and we eagerly anticipate seeing many of them represent our School at the upcoming EISM Divisional Carnival.

A special highlight was the Year 12 fashion parade, marking their final House Swimming Carnival in style.
The 2026 House Swimming Carnival was a memorable celebration of community, enthusiasm and House pride, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
