
The 2026 Senior School House Athletics Day delivered an incredible showcase of energy, determination and House pride from start to finish. From the opening events, the Bill Sewert Athletics Track came alive with excitement as students gave their all, pushing themselves and each other in a day defined by teamwork and spirited competition.
Paterson House rose to the top, earning the Overall Winner title with a consistently strong performance across both track and field events. Their commitment, participation and unity across the day set a high standard. Congratulations to every member who contributed to this outstanding achievement. Close behind, Chisholm House secured second place with an impressive display of athletic skill and resilience, keeping the pressure on throughout the competition. Lawrence House claimed third place with a solid and determined effort, while Flinders House rounded out the standings in fourth after a day of competitive performances. The margin between Houses remained tight, making for an exciting and hard-fought contest.
The House Spirit Award went to Flinders House, whose enthusiasm and creativity stood out across the entire day. From their energy in the continuous race to their vibrant chants and bold House colours, they brought a sense of fun and unity that lifted the atmosphere for everyone. Their win was narrowly secured, just edging out Paterson House in one of the closest House Spirit contests in recent memory.
Across the board, students demonstrated not only athletic ability but also teamwork, encouragement and pride in their Houses. The day was a true reflection of community spirit, with participants and supporters alike contributing to a memorable event.
