On Tuesday 10 June, we enjoyed a fun-filled and relaxing Wellbeing Day as we reached the halfway point of our VCE journey.
The day began with a rotation of activities, starting with dodgeball in the gym, followed by yoga with our own, Ms Fitzgerald, and finishing with puppy cuddles. Yoga provided a wonderful opportunity for us to relax, de-stress, and take a moment away from the demands of our studies.
The overwhelming favourite activity of the day was puppy cuddles. The team from Puppy Yoga Melbourne brought along nine Cavoodle puppies, which quickly became the centre of attention. The energetic presence of the puppies created a positive atmosphere and provided a welcome boost to our wellbeing.
“The puppies were so cute and fun to play with,” said Abbie Vernon.
“I enjoyed having a day off to relieve stress. It was fun to play with the cute puppies,” said Liyara De Silva.
Following these activities, we made our way to Rush HQ to finish off the day. We spent the afternoon enjoying rock climbing, obstacle courses, and dodgeball. The visit gave us an opportunity to create lasting memories together.
The wellbeing day provided a chance for us to take a break from academics while reflecting on both our individual and collective journeys so far. With SACs and future pathways at the forefront of our minds, the day served as a reminder of the importance of balancing hard work with fun, connection, and wellbeing throughout the remainder of Year 12.
As Wellbeing Prefects, we loved being involved in planning this day and providing our cohort with an opportunity to step away from academics and connect as a year level. We thoroughly enjoyed helping create positive memories during our journey through TKS.
Wellbeing is an important part of our journey at TKS, and we are delighted to help support a positive and happy environment for all students throughout their time at the school.
