The Knox School community came together this morning for a truly special Mother’s Day celebration, warmly welcoming mums, grandmothers, and special friends for a heartfelt start to the day. The Community Café was filled with laughter, connection, and a wonderful sense of appreciation as families gathered to celebrate those who play such an important role in our lives.
Guests enjoyed a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere, taking part in a range of Mother’s Day activities. Highlights included the Polaroid photo booth and the opportunity to write heartfelt messages on the Mother’s Day message board, adding a personal touch to the celebrations.
Beautiful live performances by our Senior Guitar and Cellobration Ensembles, along with pianists Fenice Song and Tingxu Luo, created a warm and welcoming ambience throughout the morning.
Another highlight of the event was the much-loved Mother’s Day Stall, thoughtfully organised and run by our dedicated Parent Ambassadors. The stall offered a delightful selection of gifts and treats for mums and loved ones to enjoy, bringing smiles to many faces.
It was also heart-warming to see the outstanding support for our Coffee & Muffin Fundraiser. Families enjoyed delicious refreshments while contributing to a meaningful cause. We are proud to share that all proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the McGrath Foundation, helping provide free, expert nursing care and support to individuals and families across Australia experiencing cancer.
We extend our sincere thanks to our Parent Ambassadors and the many volunteers who generously gave their time and energy, not only on the day itself, but also throughout the three days of our Mother’s Day Stalls. Your dedication and support helped create a memorable and meaningful experience for our entire community.
A Special Celebration in ELC to Year 2
Our ELC to Year 2 classrooms, always filled with joy, shone especially bright as they welcomed families for their own Mother’s Day celebrations. Laughter, love, and a special kind of warmth filled every corner as students and their loved ones shared meaningful time together in their learning spaces.
Families joined in hands-on activities and storytelling, creating a heartfelt experience where students expressed their appreciation through handmade gifts, thoughtful messages, and precious shared moments. These intimate celebrations were a beautiful reflection of the strong connections within our Early Years community.
