A Warm Welcome to Year 7 Families

Last Friday afternoon, our School community came together to warmly welcome the Year 7 cohort and their families at the Parent Information Session and Welcome Afternoon, an event that proved to be a resounding success for students, parents, and staff alike.

The afternoon commenced in the School Auditorium, where families gathered for the Parent Information Session. This provided an opportunity for the Senior School Leadership team to share key information about the year ahead and to outline the structures, expectations, and support systems in place to ensure a positive and successful transition into Senior School. The strong attendance and engagement reflected the enthusiasm and anticipation surrounding the beginning of the Year 7 journey.

Following the session, families made their way to the Year 7 building to meet their child’s Mentor. These initial connections were a valuable moment for students and parents alike, helping to establish relationships that will play an important role throughout the year.

The afternoon then flowed seamlessly into the Welcome Afternoon, where the campus came alive with conversation and connection. Over drinks and finger food, families had the opportunity to meet and greet members of the Leadership team, Year 7 teachers, and Heads of Department, while also getting to know other Year 7 families. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and full of positive energy, setting the tone for the year ahead.

It was wonderful to see students confidently exploring their new environment, parents forming connections, and staff generously giving their time to ensure everyone felt supported and included. The success of the afternoon was a testament to the strong sense of community that defines our School.

We look forward to working closely with our Year 7 students and their families as they begin this exciting new chapter and thank everyone who contributed to making the Welcome Afternoon such a memorable occasion.
