Our Prep students had an unforgettable day at Myuna Farm on Tuesday 18 March 2025. The sun was shining and the students had the opportunity to meet, feed and learn about a wide variety of animals, making the day both fun and educational.

The students represented TKS with pride, demonstrating respect and responsibility as they explored the farm. There were plenty of exciting hands-on experiences. Our students even got the chance to milk a goat and interact with a Blue Tongued Lizard, a Bearded Dragon and an Eastern Long Neck Turtle! The day also included a visit to the Animal Nursery, where students were able to get up close with adorable sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs and baby goats.

One of the highlights of the trip was meeting some playful baby piglets, born just the week before. The students also enjoyed a fun train ride to see thousands of noisy bats hanging in the trees—a truly unique sight! The paddock walk gave the students another chance to feed a range of animals, including alpacas, deer, sheep and Alice the Camel.

Here’s what some of our students had to say about their favourite parts of the day:

  • Arjun and Ella: “Everything was my favourite!”
  • Claire and Dilan: “Patting the rabbits”
  • Avyan: “Seeing lots of the bats”
  • Aspen: “This is the best day of my life!”

The staff at Myuna Farm commented on the exemplary engagement and respect of our students, noting how well they represented our school throughout the visit. It was a day full of learning, fun and memorable experiences for all. A big thank you to all the teachers and staff who helped make this trip possible and to our students for being so respectful and responsible during the adventure!
