For the Class of 2026, this week was about more than marking the end of school. It was a chance to celebrate friendships, reflect on shared experiences and create a few final memories together before embarking on the next chapter of their journey.
Across the week, Year 12 students embraced a series of themed dress-up days that brought creativity, laughter and plenty of personality to campus. From nostalgic nods to their primary school years to imaginative costumes inspired by childhood aspirations and delightfully inappropriate “Wrong Occasion” outfits, the celebrations provided a fitting reminder that learning at TKS has always been about more than what happens in the classroom.
One of the week’s highlights was the annual Colour Run and water fight, which transformed the oval into a sea of colour, energy and laughter. It was an opportunity for students to let loose, celebrate together and enjoy some of their final moments as a cohort.

The celebrations continued with a special day in Melbourne, where students gathered at Federation Square before taking part in the Great Race across the city. The day offered time to connect, reminisce and enjoy each other’s company away from campus, creating memories that will no doubt be talked about for years to come.
Today, families, students and staff come together for a farewell breakfast, speeches, a tree-planting ceremony and a final whole-school gathering in the Quad. These traditions offer an opportunity to reflect on the impact the Class of 2026 has had on The Knox School community and to acknowledge their contributions throughout their years at TKS.
This evening’s Valedictory celebrations will bring the week to a fitting close, as students gather with families, staff and special guests to celebrate their achievements and look ahead to the opportunities that await.
As they leave our campus as students for the final time, the Class of 2026 does so with much to be proud of. Their leadership, resilience, character and spirit have shaped our community in countless ways, and we look forward to seeing where their next adventures take them.
Class of 2026, you have made your mark on your community, you have left your legacy amongst us. Be proud, as we are, of what you have achieved on your journey with us through TKS. You have grasped every opportunity firmly by both hands and you not only achieved it, but you made it your own. – Ms Nikki Kirkup, Principal
We wish our graduates every success and happiness for the future and thank them for the lasting contribution they have made to life at The Knox School.
