We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Class of 2025 alumni Andres De Souza and Linda He, who have each been honoured with a Premier’s VCE Award.

Presented annually by the Victorian Government, the Premier’s VCE Awards recognise students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). At this year’s ceremony, Andres received the Premier’s VCE Award for Music Contemporary, while Linda was recognised with the Premier’s VCE Award for Physics.

Representing The Knox School at the awards ceremony were Principal Ms Nikki Kirkup and Head of Senior School Ms Janelle Mathias, who were proud to celebrate this significant milestone alongside Andres and Linda.

Reflecting on their achievements, Ms Kirkup and Ms Mathias shared:

“We are incredibly proud of everything they achieved, not only academically, but also through the many contributions they made to our school community. Their leadership, character and involvement in the life of the School have left a lasting impact, and they should both be immensely proud of all that they have accomplished.

We have no doubt that these awards are just the beginning of many future successes. They are a fitting recognition of their hard work and commitment, and we cannot wait to continue following their journeys beyond The Knox School.”

These prestigious awards reflect not only academic excellence but also the dedication, perseverance and passion that Andres and Linda demonstrated throughout their time at The Knox School. Their success is a wonderful example of what students can achieve when they are supported to pursue their strengths, embrace opportunities and contribute meaningfully to their community.

We congratulate Andres and Linda on this exceptional recognition and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the years ahead.
