Education has the greatest impact when it connects learning with the real world.
In 2026, The Knox School is launching the Year 10 Constellation Series, a bold new initiative designed to empower students with greater ownership of their learning and real-world application of their skills.
In 2025, students selected three distinct journeys: Cambodia, Singapore, Budj Bim and Melbourne (Industry, Action and Enterprise). They will work with community organisations, industry experts and educational partners to address authentic challenges through innovation, creativity and collaboration. The experiences and skills developed through the journeys will support students as they seek to consider future career pathways.
The Constellation Series is based upon elements of The Knox School’s Knoxpeditions framework, a project-based learning and design thinking model of learning that encourages students to explore big ideas, develop skills, solve complex problems and connect classroom theory with real-world experience and clients. The program blends academic learning with hands-on experiences that inspire purpose, cultural understanding and leadership. Students will design their own projects, engage with clients and gain Melbourne Metric credentials recognising the competencies they develop along the way.
Much like the constellations that once guided explorers across uncharted seas, these journeys will guide students as they navigate their own paths beyond School, helping them become confident, capable and compassionate global citizens as they acquire insights and experiences that could inform future careers.
Preparation is underway for the inaugural Constellation Series, taking place from 27 April to 8 May 2026.
