On Tuesday, 11 February 2025, we were thrilled to welcome back our 2024 Year 12 graduates who achieved an ATAR of 90 or above. The occasion was marked by a special Senior School assembly to celebrate their incredible accomplishments and provide our current Year 12 students with valuable advice and guidance as they embark on their own important year.

An annual tradition at The Knox School, during this year’s Celebration of Achievement Assembly our 2024 graduates had the opportunity to interact with the current Year 12 students, answering their questions and offering insights on how to manage the challenges and demands of their final year of school. The graduates shared tips on study habits, time management and how to stay focused on their goals – advice that proved invaluable for students preparing for their own exams and assessments last year.

Our Principal and Chief Executive, Nikki Kirkup, opened the assembly with a heartfelt address, praising the hard work and dedication of the graduates and encouraging current students to aim high. Janelle Mathias, our Head of Senior School, also spoke about the ongoing support available to Year 12 students, stressing the importance of collaboration and the combined strength of our school community.

One of the most memorable moments of the event came from the 2024 School Dux, Rishika Rodrigues, who delivered an inspiring speech about her personal journey through TKS. Her journey to academic success, filled with perseverance and resilience, was shared with the entire auditorium.

Following the assembly, we held a special morning tea for the graduates from last year. It was a wonderful opportunity for teachers and staff to reconnect with these former students and learn about their experiences in their first year beyond school. The graduates shared exciting updates on their studies, careers and new adventures, demonstrating that their hard work and determination continue to shape their future paths.

This event was not only a celebration of the success of our 2024 graduates but also a reminder of the strength of our school community and the importance of supporting one another as we navigate our individual three journeys of knowledge, skills and character. It was a truly inspiring day for both current students and staff, and we are excited to see the bright futures that lie ahead for our 2025 Year 12 students as they follow in the footsteps of these remarkable graduates!
