Minds at Work: Problem-Solving and Scholarship

When young minds tackle real problems, remarkable things happen. At TKS, we celebrate students who undertake complex briefs, ask better questions and communicate with clarity. You will see ideas shaped into persuasive stories, thoughtful films and confident speech.

Tournament of Minds again proved to be a rich arena for creative collaboration. Two Secondary teams – Language Literature and STEM – earned the honour of representing The Knox School in the Central Region at the Victorian State Finals on 14 September. TKS achieved Tournament Honours in the STEM Secondary Division, an incredible achievement and testament to the students’ impressive critical thinking, storytelling and collaboration.

Beyond TOM, we congratulate Geordie Hibbert (Year 12), joint winner in the Independent Schools Victoria’s video competition.

In Junior School, Kriti Adepu (Year 4) received the Super Speak Achievement Award after completing 100 hours of public speaking and delivering ten formal solo speeches.

These stories speak to young people who take on complex briefs, communicate clearly and back their ideas with evidence and teamwork.
