This year, our school took part in the Movember campaign, a movement aimed at raising awareness for men’s mental health and supporting those in need.
I couldn’t be happier that this idea became a reality, and to be honest, it wouldn’t have been possible without the support I received from numerous teachers and members of our school community.
The idea of this movement was planted into my mind when, jokingly, Mr. Morais stated that if my Outdoor Education class and I could pull something off as unlikely as having our very own Principal accompany us on camp, he would gladly shave his beard.
The words he said that day seemed insignificant to himself at the time but they inevitably had given the means for us to get this off the ground. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you to everyone who supported, encouraged, and donated to our school’s Movember page. Your involvement meant everything.
I can’t begin to put it into words how glad I am that this has happened.
