Our Early Learning students recently travelled to Myuna Farm and it was a fun-filled adventure from start to finish! The children had a blast feeding the animals, hopping aboard the farm train, and even trying their hand at milking goats. Laughter, curiosity, and wide-eyed wonder were in abundance as we explored everything the farm had to offer. Farmer Jess, Farmer Jason, and Farmer Brayden brought the experience to life with their fun facts, stories and hands-on demonstrations, leaving our young learners buzzing with excitement and new knowledge about life on the farm.
The students were engaged and enthusiastic, asking questions and sharing their observations. Kian and Isaac were curious about crocodiles on the farm, prompting a great discussion about freshwater habitats. Jacob humorously noted, “The pigs are very smelly,” while Sebastian shared, “I went on a tractor at the farm, and I saw some bats hanging upside down. It was very unusual that some were awake!” Elena added, “The bat comes out at night,” and Mia said, “I learned to feed the animals.” Ava learnt, “The bats eat fruit.”
Excursions like this are a wonderful way for children to have hands-on experiences that enrich their learning and bring classroom topics to life. We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful parents who attended and supported the excursion — we truly couldn’t have done it without you! We think it’s safe to say the parents were just as excited as the children!
