On Tuesday, 10 February 2026, The Knox School proudly welcomed back our high-achieving 2025 Year 12 graduates who attained an ATAR of 90 or above. Their return was celebrated at a special Senior School Assembly, recognising their outstanding accomplishments and inspiring our current Year 12 cohort as they begin their own final chapter at TKS.
A valued tradition at The Knox School, the annual Celebration of Achievement Assembly provides a meaningful opportunity for past graduates to connect with current students. This year’s event was no exception, with our 2025 alumni generously sharing their experiences of Year 12, from establishing effective study routines and managing competing priorities, to maintaining wellbeing and perspective during a demanding year.
Their honest reflections and practical advice offered reassurance and motivation to the Class of 2026, reinforcing that success is built on consistency, resilience and a willingness to seek support when needed.
Our Principal, Ms Nikki Kirkup, opened the Assembly by commending the graduates for their dedication and perseverance. In an inspiring address, Nikki encouraged current students to embrace the journey, and to approach their final year with both ambition and balance.
Our Head of Senior School, Ms Janelle Mathias, also addressed the Assembly, highlighting the extensive academic and wellbeing support available, and reminding students that they are part of a community that walks alongside them every step of the way.
“Whilst the character of a TKS student is defined by so much more than any final number they receive, their ATAR is also so much more than a number. Years of dedication, prioritising, and balancing; years of family and friends’ support.
And so, we take a moment to reflect on the students who have accomplished so much. There are significant and different stories behind each of these TKS graduates’ stories, and we honour them today for all that they have achieved.
We wish our 2025 graduates a bright and successful future, filled with a sense of pride and happiness.”
A highlight of the Assembly was an address from the 2025 School Dux, Linda He, who spoke candidly about her journey through TKS. She reflected on the challenges she encountered, the habits that helped her succeed, and the importance of resilience and self-belief. Her story resonated strongly with students and staff alike, serving as a powerful reminder that growth often comes through perseverance.
Following the Assembly, staff and graduates gathered for a celebratory morning tea. The occasion provided a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and hear about the graduates’ first year beyond TKS, from university studies and career pathways to new experiences and aspirations. It was heartening to see how confidently they are embracing life after TKS, carrying forward the knowledge, skills and character nurtured during their time at the School.
The day was more than a celebration of academic excellence; it was a testament to the strength of our community and the enduring connections formed at The Knox School. As our 2026 Year 12 students embark on their own journeys, we look forward to seeing them build on this legacy and shape bright futures of their own.
