The Knox School is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Dean Pearman as its seventh Principal, commencing in January 2027.

Mr Pearman joins The Knox School from Beaconhills College, where he is currently a member of the Executive Team in the role of Head of Education, leading the College’s educational strategy across curriculum, learning, assessment, student pathways and professional growth. He brings three decades of experience in independent education, having held senior leadership positions at Wesley College, Peninsula Grammar and Caulfield Grammar School. He is widely respected for his commitment to educational excellence, people development, student wellbeing and the creation of innovative learning environments where young people can thrive.

“I am deeply honoured to be joining The Knox School community. What drew me to TKS was its unwavering belief that every young person should be known, challenged and empowered to shape their own future. Its commitment to personalising learning, nurturing agency and creating opportunities for students to flourish aligns strongly with my own educational philosophy and vision for learning.” – Mr Dean Pearman

Mr Pearman joins The Knox School at an exciting stage in its journey, building on the strong foundation established under the leadership of outgoing Principal Ms Nikki Kirkup. Working alongside an experienced and dedicated leadership team, he will lead the next phase of the School’s strategic vision while strengthening opportunities for every student to be known, inspired and empowered to achieve their personal best.

We look forward to warmly welcoming Mr Pearman to The Knox School community in 2027.
