What does a great school look like in 2026?

According to The Educator’s 5-Star Best Schools report, it looks a lot like The Knox School.

We’re proud to share that The Knox School has been named one of The Educator’s 5-Star Best Schools 2026, a national recognition that celebrates schools creating exceptional opportunities for students to learn, grow and thrive.

This award is about far more than academic results. Schools included in the report are recognised for the way they support the whole child, combining outstanding learning experiences with strong wellbeing programs, innovative opportunities, and a commitment to preparing students for life beyond the classroom.

The recognition is based on six key areas: innovative extracurricular programs, comprehensive student support, safety and wellbeing initiatives, technology in learning, diversity and inclusion, and holistic student development.

For our community, the honour reflects what happens every day across our campus. From Early Learning through to Year 12, students are encouraged to be curious, courageous and actively involved in their own learning journey. Whether they are designing solutions to real-world challenges, pursuing their passions through co-curricular opportunities, or developing the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world, learning at TKS is designed to be personal, purposeful and future-focused.

At the heart of The Knox School is a belief that every student deserves to be known, valued and supported. Our close-knit community celebrates individuality and creates a genuine sense of belonging, empowering students to discover their strengths, build confidence and make meaningful contributions to the world around them.

Our educators play a vital role in bringing this vision to life. Through engaging learning experiences, design thinking, project-based learning and a strong focus on student agency, they challenge and inspire students to think deeply, work collaboratively and produce high-quality work that reflects both academic growth and personal development.

This recognition is a celebration of the people who make TKS what it is: our students, families, educators and staff. Together, we create a learning community where young people are encouraged not only to achieve their personal best, but to shape their own futures with confidence and purpose.

Being named a 5-Star Best School is an achievement we are incredibly proud of, but perhaps most importantly, it is recognition of something our community already knows: when students are supported, challenged and inspired, remarkable things happen.

We thank our students, staff and families for the part they play in making The Knox School such a special place to learn, grow and belong.
