Our talented Drumline Ensemble recently took their music beyond the School gates, entertaining shoppers and visitors at Westfield Knox Shopping Centre as part of its NFL celebrations.
The students kicked off their performance near Rebel Sport, where the unmistakable sound of the drums quickly caught the attention of passers-by. Before long, the sound of the drums had drawn a crowd of curious shoppers, creating an exciting atmosphere as people paused to enjoy the performance.
Following their first set, the Drumline was unexpectedly invited to perform again – and they didn’t miss a beat in taking up the opportunity! The students made their way through the centre towards the Ozone precinct, with many from the audience following along to catch the second performance. Their procession certainly turned a few heads along the way, bringing a wonderful sense of energy and excitement as they moved through the centre.
Outside in the sunshine, the students performed once again, creating a fantastic atmosphere for those enjoying lunch in the Ozone precinct. The performance transformed the precinct into an impromptu stage, bringing live music and energy to those enjoying their lunch.
Performing in a bustling public setting allowed students to showcase their musical skills, build confidence and connect with the wider community through live performance.
