The Falcon Squad is The Knox School’s advanced athlete development program for aspirational sporting students in Years 9 to 12 that meet high-performance selection criteria in the chosen sport.

The program provides insightful theory and experiences from a high-performance perspective. The Falcon Squad aims to develop well-rounded student-athletes that show potential, discipline and a commitment to personal growth.

Our holistic approach includes:

Mind

Focuses on mental fitness, emotional regulation, resilience, and fostering a high-performance mindset for long-term success.

Body

Builds strength, conditioning, nutrition knowledge, recovery science, and promotes healthy lifestyle habits like sleep management.

Community Engagement

Encourages leadership, inclusion, teamwork, and social contribution to strengthen school and sports community bonds.

Integrity and Ethics

Prepares students to make ethical decisions, embrace sportsmanship, and maintain strong character under pressure.

By integrating performance science, wellbeing education and leadership development, the Falcon Squad is:

  • Reducing pressure on students with smarter scheduling
  • Aligning athletic pathways with academic success
  • Preparing young people for life beyond school
  • Building a culture of integrity and contribution

How it works:

  • Purpose-built sessions across the year
  • Workshop and guidance from leading industry professionals
  • Designed to minimise academic disruption
  • For identified student‑athletes achieving State Development level or higher, based on sport‑specific eligibility criteria

We are proud to support young people as learners, as athletes and as individuals.
