Over 80 students from Years 8 to 12 attended the Halogen National Youth Leadership Day, an inspiring event aimed at fostering leadership and personal growth. The group included Prefect Team members, House Captains and Student Leadership Portfolio Teams, all of whom had the opportunity to hear from influential leaders and learn how they can cultivate their own leadership potential.
Throughout the day, students were immersed in a variety of activities designed to motivate and empower them. The event featured guest speakers who shared their personal journeys, challenges and triumphs, offering invaluable insights into leadership, perseverance and self-belief. From videos to engaging talks from a variety of speakers from different backgrounds, the experience left everyone – students and teachers – with new perspectives and inspiration.
Students were encouraged to reflect on several thought-provoking questions during the Halogen National Youth Leadership Day, including: What makes us TKS? How are we unified? What defines our campus? What role does our cheerleading play? How do we help and support one another? How do we lead? How do we inspire? Are you ready?

I also loved how the speakers engaged with the audience and spoke of the important life lessons everyone could benefit from in their own lives.
This important experience serves as a reminder that leadership isn’t just about titles – it’s about the actions we take, the inspiration we provide and how we come together as a community to support one another and make a lasting impact.
