On Tuesday, our Year 12 students swapped books for bounce as they ventured out on a mid-term excursion to Rush HQ – an energising and much-needed circuit breaker in the middle of an intense academic term.

Here’s what they had to say about the experience:

With the SAC season beginning to ramp up, the excursion gave us the opportunity to pause, reflect and just enjoy being together as a Year 12 cohort. The morning was filled with flips, laughter, and foam pit mayhem as we bounced, climbed, and swung our way through trampolines, rock walls, dodgeball games, a high ropes course and even dunked on the basketball hoops! Being able to channel our inner childhood selves through the fun of trampolining and sharing moments of joy and silliness with our friends gave us a moment to escape the stress this final year brings.

It reminded us that while Year 12 can be overwhelming, it’s also these moments like the spontaneous races on trampolines, the peer encouragement to climb to the top of the wall and the laughs from funny poses in the foam pit that we’ll remember most when we look back on our final year. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity to step away from the pressure, reconnect with our peers, and remind ourselves of the importance of balance and lifelong memories amongst our academic journeys. Thank you to everyone who helped organise such a fun and meaningful day for all of us Year 12s!
