On Thursday 26 February, our newly opened Community Café was buzzing with excitement as parents of Years 7–10 students came together for an evening of connection, conversation, and community. It was the perfect opportunity for families to meet one another and engage with the staff who will be guiding their children through the 2026 school year.
Our Principal and Chief Executive, Ms Nikki Kirkup, warmly welcomed families, emphasising that every student plays a vital role in our vibrant learning community. She reminded us that the middle years, Years 7 to 10, are just as important and enriching as any other stage of the school journey.
Families also heard from Ms Janelle Mathias, Associate Principal: Head of Senior School, who introduced the dedicated team supporting our students’ growth in knowledge, skills, and character. Key members of our Senior School leadership were present, including Ms Emma Kenny (Deputy Head of Senior School), Mr Christian Stuckey (Head of Students: Years 7–10), and Ms Alison Crawford (Head of Academics: Years 7–10).
The evening celebrated the journey of our students in the middle years, years filled with new friendships, growing independence, and increasing responsibilities. It provided families with a chance to connect with teachers, share experiences with other parents, and strengthen the bonds that make the TKS community so special.
A heartfelt thank you to all who attended; you helped make the evening a memorable and enriching experience for everyone.
