Year 7 Philosophy Day

Curiosity and critical thinking took centre stage as our Year 7 students recently attended Philosophy Day at Tintern Grammar for a workshop designed to stretch their thinking and spark meaningful discussion. 

The program introduced key areas of philosophical thought, including ethics, metaphysics, logic and the theory of knowledge. Through engaging group activities, students explored fundamental questions about existence and morality, working together to build frameworks for understanding complex ideas. 

The collaborative nature of the workshop was a highlight, with students solving hypothetical problems and logical puzzles in teams. Students returned with a deeper appreciation for philosophy and new tools for approaching big questions both in and beyond the classroom.  

It was a rich and rewarding intellectual experience, and these students can elect to pursue further Philosophy-based opportunities offered as part of The Knox School’s enrichment program.
