An enthusiastic team of 43 swimmers from The Knox School’s Senior School went to compete in the EISM Division 2 Swimming Carnival at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatics Centre (MSAC) on Tuesday 4 March 2025. It was a day filled with outstanding performances, exceptional sportsmanship and plenty of team spirit.
Throughout the event, our swimmers demonstrated remarkable talent and determination. The Open Girls, Under 13 Boys and Under 15 Boys teams all emerged victorious in their respective age group categories, taking home the coveted age group titles. The Under 13 Girls also put on a strong showing, securing an impressive second-place finish, just shy of the top spot!
The success of the day wasn’t just about the results… All of our swimmers showcased the true spirit of The Knox School through their incredible effort, attitude, and support for one another. Whether in the pool or cheering from the stands, our students represented TKS with pride and enthusiasm. Our Senior Head of Sports Strategy, Programs and Pathways, Nathan Bower, commented:
All of our students displayed supreme effort and attitude in the pool and in the stands, representing TKS as ambassadors on the day.
A special highlight of the carnival was the success of senior students Anita Weber and Kayla Sautner. This competition marked their final EISM Swimming Carnival after a stellar career in the pool, where they have been instrumental in representing TKS. Their dedication and commitment to the swim team have been unwavering and Nathan extends his heartfelt gratitude to both Anita and Kayla for their contributions throughout their school journey at The Knox School.
Other notable individual performances included Aaron Guan in Under 13 Boys, Laura Paproth in Under 13 Girls, David Wen in Under 14 Boys, George Yeo in Under 16 Girls and the entire Under 15 Boys team. These athletes demonstrated incredible talent and made their mark on the day, contributing to the overall success of our team. Well done to all involved!
